Our creative work is defined by the wines of Attila Gere. This is an unusual but very original approach, not matching a wine with a meal but creating a course for the wine, more precisely creating a culinary experience around the wine, thus stepping out from the cliché of gastronomy.
We consider it a privilege that the creative process in our case is inspired not just by dishes but by striving to find harmony between wine and food, hence offering the combination of a multitude of vintages and flavours.
For many years we’ve been travelling around the world tasting, experiencing, letting ourselves inspired by what is excellent, pioneering and thrilling in the world. As with wine our goal is to learn. We are looking for domestic, preferably local ingredients and their producers and when we find the right ones we work together and develop together. Our own farm is also an increasingly important source of ingredients including lamb, ducks, chicken, eggs, and all of them are free-range and of the highest quality. We love and truly believe in the qualities of Hungarian cooking but the closest thing to our hearts is our own heritage, Swabian food. International inspiration, domestic and regional traditions are the formative influences shaping the fusion dishes, multicontinental flavours and updated gems of rural cooking listed on our menu.
All this serves one goal and that is to provide our guests with an unforgettable culinary experience.
Visit us in the centre of Villány, right next to the historical cellars!
Our dégustation menu created by our chef and team, is not just a set of highlights from our standard menu but a self-contained, coherent, carefully dovetailed arc of dishes where flavours, fragrance, texture and colours all havetheir important parts to play. It is a process where the stages between beginning and end all represent different worlds however they all align to make for a great journey.
The wines chosen to accompany this dégustation function as the point of departure and arrival, making the experience whole and intense.
NB A culinary journey like this takes a long time, in our case approximately 3 hours.
